Nas.com Sold for $1,250,000

The founder of NAS.io, Nuseir Yassin announced in a video shared on X and Instagram that he has purchased the NAS.com domain name for $1.25 million using his personal savings. Yassin said he had been pursuing the domain for nearly a decade and wanted to share the milestone with his audience, who have followed his journey since the early days when he had no money, no job, and traveled the world with only a camera and “infinite energy.” He explained that his videos, filmed in more than 100 countries, were inspired by the meaning of “Nas,” which means “people” in Arabic.

With the acquisition, NAS.io will officially rebrand as NAS.com, focusing on helping users start online businesses powered by AI. Yassin stated that the platform aims to compete with major players such as Shopify, Wix, and Etsy by offering a simpler, more AI-first and people-first experience. Despite noting that his parents disagreed with the purchase and that the negotiations took five years, Yassin emphasized that the investment is worth it and that he is fully committed to building NAS.com over the next decade.

Here is the full transcript of his announcement:

“I just spent $1.25 million of my personal money to buy something. It’s not an apartment. It’s not a luxury car. It’s a domain name. I’ve been chasing it for 10 years and now I can afford it.

I want to share this news with you because you’ve been with me for the last 10 years. When I started NAS company, I had no money, no girlfriend, no job. It was just me and a camera and a lot of energy, infinite energy, to travel the world and show it to you. I made videos about people in more than 100 countries because Nas means people in Arabic. And now I finally have the money to buy my dream item.

Nas.com. 3-Letter domain name for $1.25 million. If anyone should have it, It should be us. As of today, nas.io is rebranding to nas.com. The goal of nas.com is to help you work for yourself and start your online business with AI.

I bought this domain to compete with the big dogs, the Shopify, the Wix, the Etsy. Nas.com is much simpler, much more AI-first, and much more people-first. $1.25 million is a lot of money. I spent 5 years negotiating and saving for this. My parents don’t agree with this decision, and you can call me stupid in the comment section.

But for me, it’s worth it. I spent 10 years working my ass off, and now nas.com is what I will be building for the next 10 years. And as you can see, I’m all in.”
